The National Public Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2019 is to be held during June 5-11 and its nine projects are to be announced recently. According to the news from Jiaxing Association for Science and Technology, the subproject applied for by this association is included in those nine ones. With the name of Top-End Training Camp for the Commercialization of Sci-Tech Achievements of the Yangtze River Delta, it is the only subproject applied for by a municipal-level sci-tech association. The other eight ones are all by provincial-level sci-tech associations or above.

This subproject belongs to the integrated action subprojects of the entrepreneurship and innovation of sci-tech communities, which indicates this subproject will also serve as an example for the integrated action subprojects of the entrepreneurship and innovation of the sci-tech communities nationwide.

Guided by the Sci-Tech Communication Center of China Association for Science and Technology and jointly sponsored by Shanghai Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yangtze Delta Region Research Institute of Tsinghua University Zhejiang, Zhejiang Institute of Advanced Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiaxing Science and Technology Association, the top-end talents training camp was opened this March to expedite the commercialization of sci-tech achievements of the intelligent manufacturing industries of the Yangtze River Delta. Over 100 experts and scholars attended the training camp including Wang Jianyu, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wu Cheng, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 48 professors and scholars from 11 universities like Tisnghua University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Anhui University, Zhejiang University and over 60 representatives form local enterprises.

    The participants held discussions on how to seize the opportunities that the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta had been upgraded into a national strategy to strengthen sci-tech cooperation and innovation, how to settle the bottlenecks in transferring intelligent manufacturing technologies to accelerate the integrated development of the intelligent manufacturing industries of the Yangtze River Delta and how to drive the commercialization of the sci-tech achievements in intelligent manufacturing for industrial transformation and upgrading. Cooperation agreements were signed between some universities and local enterprises.  

According to the director of Jiaxing Sci-Tech Association, efforts have been made to prepare this training camp in response to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta since this Spring Festival. “Focusing on intelligent manufacturing industries, we integrated the resources of the Yangtze River Delta to serve our enterprises.” For this training camp, some experts and academicians introduced cutting-edge technologies and some cooperation agreements were signed by universities and enterprises, attracting a large number of enterprises, research institutes and universities to participate in the training camp.

In the second half of 2019, Jiaxing Science and Technology Association will organize the training camp for the second time to emphasize new materials and, meantime seek out top-end talents to establish Intelligent manufacturing and new material associations, facilitate the commercialization of sci-tech achievements, build up a sci-tech achievement commercialization network available to governments, research institutes, sci-tech enterprises, financial institutes and universities to establish the announcement and transaction platform of the sic-tech achievements for the Sci-Tech Communication Center of China Association for Science and Technology.
