According to Jiaxing Investigation Team of National Bureau of Statistics, the CPI in the urban areas of Jiaxing in November fell by 0.8% year on year, 0.8 percentage point lower in year-on-year growth than last month and 0.9 and 0.3 percentage points lower than provincial and national average year-on-year growths respectively. The CPI fell by 0.5 percentage point month on month; the prices of foods & tobaccos, industrial commodities and services fell by 1.4%, 0.1% and 0.2% month on month respectively.

　　In terms of the year-on-year growth, among eight categories of commodities and services, the prices of six ones increased and two ones fell. The prices of fresh vegetables, catering beyond home, milk and aquatic products increased by 9.2%, 5.6%, 1.8% and 0.6% respectively; those of poultry meat, eggs, livestock meat and melons & fruits fell by 11.6%, 11.2%, 9.0% and 7.0% respectively, and the prices of pork fell by 15.2%.

　　Among the other seven categories of commodities, the prices of two ones increased and five ones fell. The prices of other products and services increased by 1.3% year on year; the service prices of education, culture and entertainment increased by 0.8% year on year; the prices of traffic & communications, medical treatment & health care, clothing, living and daily necessities & services fell by 4.0%, 2.3%, 1.9%, 0.4% and 0.1% respectively year on year. 

　　In terms of the month-on-month growth, the prices of foods, tobaccos and wines fell for the third consecutive month. In November, their prices fell 1.4% month on month, 0.4 percentage points lower in decrease than October; the prices of pork decreased for the fourth consecutive month, falling by 4.7% month on month due to the recovery of pigs breeding, growing import of pork and governments’ growing distributions of frozen pork; and the prices of fresh vegetables continued to fall to a greater degree. In November the supplies of local vegetables were sufficient, which led to a bigger decrease of the prices of vegetables, especially the spinach, rape and cauliflower. The prices of fresh vegetables fell by 11.4% month on month, 3.8 percentage points higher in decrease than last month; the prices of fresh fruits achieved a remarkable growth, reaching a month-on-month growth of 8.3%; the prices of off-season fruits increased because of vile weather and their growing transportation costs. Such local in-season fruits as oranges had enough supplies and their prices further declined.

　　The prices of industrial products and services fell slightly month on month, just 0.1% and 0.2% down respectively. The prices of TV sets declined by 3.8% month on month due to the price cuts during the e-commerce shopping festival and the price discounts in supermarkets; the prices of gold declined by 3.4% month on month due to changing international situations and the wide spread of Covid-19. The amount charged by tourism agencies and the prices of air tickets declined in November respectively by 1.9% and 9.9% due to the decreasing number of tourists in the winter with falling temperatures and slack tour periods after the National Day holidays.  

　　In terms of the month-on-month growth, among eight categories of commodities and services, the prices of one increased, four ones fell and three ones kept the same. In November, the CPI in urban areas of Jiaxing fell by 0.5% month on month; the prices of daily necessities and services increased by 0.1% month on month; those of foods & tobaccos & wines, other products & services, educational, cultural and entertainment consumption, and traffic and communication consumption decreased by 1.4%, 0.9%, 0.4% and 0.3% respectively; the prices of clothes, health care and living kept the same with those of last month.
