Yesterday was the fourth Chinese People’s Police Day. On behalf of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, Municipal People’s Government of Jiaxing, Municipal People’s Congress of Jiaxng and the CPPCC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, Chen Wei, secretary of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, visited the Bureau of Public Security of Jiaxing in the morning to express sincere greetings, heartfelt respects and thanks to the police officers, auxiliary police officers and their families. Other leaders also attended this activity such as Shuai Xielang, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee and secretary of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, and Zhang Haiyan, deputy mayor of Municipal People’s Government of Jiaxing.

Happy Police Day to you.” In the Bureau of Public Security of Jiaxing, Chen Wei shook hands with the representatives of the police officers and had cordial conversations with them about their work and life. He fully acknowledged their important contributions in safeguarding local economic and social high-quality development in 2023. The police officers and auxiliary police officers played an important role in safeguarding the security of Wuzhen Summit of the World Internet Conference, the Asian Games Hangzhou and Asian Para Games Hangzhou through their continuous efforts last year; the reform practice that “photos taken at one service window are available in the whole city” was honored as a national model in 2023; the platform “Listening to People’s Voice” was identified as the “best practice case” of Zhejiang; and the people’s sense of security and satisfaction was further strengthened, and stability and security now become an important brand of Jiaxing; those achievements were attributed to the hard work of the police officers fully fulfilling missions and bravely assuming responsibilities, which ensured the political and social stability and people’s happy life, according to Chen Wei.

In the new journey, all police officers must follow the guideline of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches on the work of the public security of the new era, stay loyal to the Party, serve the people, justly enforce the law, strictly obey the discipline and strive to play important roles in safeguarding social security and peace and strengthening legislation to create a safe condition for Jiaxing to build an important city of the city cluster of the Yangtze River Delta; the police officers must have a “big vision”, promote the modernization of public security work in the process of the Chinese modernization and fully provide quality services and strong supports for economic and social high-quality development; the police officers must have a strong devotion sense, always adhere to the idea of putting the people first to ensure the people’s safe life and work, alleviate their difficulties and benefit them; the police officers must have a stronger responsibility sense, make innovation in settling difficulties, problems and bottlenecks in social governance and accelerate efforts to obtain more landmark achievements with the feature of “Jiaxing police”; the police officers’ work was hard, so we must care about them, support them, ensure their welfare, fully implement all the policies beneficial to the police officers; we must continuously create a clean and upright work condition to achieve new professionalized and normalized development of people’s police forces who were more dedicated to the revolution, according to Chen Wei.
