Several days ago, Lian Yimin, secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the CPPCC  Zhejiang Provincial Committee, visited Jiaxing - the birthplace of the CPC to pay tribute to the Red Boat and conduct a research on the work of the CPPCC in each county and county-level city of Jiaxing. We must study and apply the precious wealth left by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his work in Zhejiang, vigorously carry forward the Red Boat spirit, and gain wisdom and strengths from the Party’s history to promote the high-quality development of the work of the CPPCC of each county and county-level city of Jiaxing in the new journey, according to him. Wang Changrong, deputy chairman of the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and leaders of Jiaxing, participated in the research, such as Chen Wei, Chen Lizhong and Jiang Haiyang.

Lian Yimin went to the Central Islet of the South Lake of Jiaxing to pay tribute to the Red Boat, visited the Revolution Memorial Hall of the South Lake to study the glorious history of the CPC and receive revolutionary traditional education. He listened attentively to the narration with utmost respect. He said the Red Boat is the starting point of the dream of the CPC, and the Red Boat spirit embodies the original aspiration and founding mission of Chinese communists, and enjoys value and vitality beyond time and space. As a political organization led by the CPC, the CPPCC should adhere to the guiding principle of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thought on strengthening and improving the work of the CPPCC, as well as the instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection in Zhejiang; we must be absolutely loyal to the Party, stay true to our Party’s founding mission, firmly defend the decisive significance of establishing Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and uphold the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership, guard “Red Root”; we mus adhere to the pioneering spirit of creating from nothing to strive to work hard and serve as a pioneer; we must adhere to the hard-working spirit that keeps faith and fears no setbacks to continuously implement the “Double Eight Development Strategy”,  make innovation, deepen reform and opening up and fulfill our duty to demonstrate new achievements of the CPPCC Jiaxing Municipal Committee; we must adhere to the spirit of service that honors the Party’s commitment to the public good and its loyalty to the people to stay true to the Party’s original aspiration and founding mission, improve work efficiency, make regular visits and surveys and provide services to settle the pressing problems that concern the people to strive to serve as a pioneer, write a new chapter and make new contributions in the new journey towards Chinese modernization.

Lian Yimin then visited the history museum and consultation center of Miaojia Village of Jiashan, and confirmed the innovative community-based practices of the CPPCC Jiaxing Municipal Committee and the CPPCC Jiashan County Committee, which enriched the work of the CPPCC and extended it to community-level units. We must keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, intensify efforts to build Jiashan into a pilot county of high-quality development, grasp the essence of the CPPCC, adhere to the leadership of the CPC, the united front and socialist consultative democracy, further explore the practice of the consultative democracy of the CPPCC, maintain close ties with the people, and enrich consultative democracy for the people and improve the efficiency of the CPPCC system to fully demonstrate the great achievements of the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and drive the high-quality development of a county through the high-quality work of the county-level committee of the CPPCC.
