Yesterday morning, Chen Wei, secretary of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee and head of the industrial chain of chemical new materials (green petrochemical industry), presided over a symposium with the theme of “industrial chain head plus industrial chain owners (enterprises)”. He stressed that efforts must be intensified to study and implement the guiding principle of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection in Zhejiang and the speech on new-type industrialization, conscientiously implement the national and provincial decisions on promoting new-type industrialization, develop new quality productive forces according to local conditions and adhere to problem-oriented, high-end, intelligent and green development to build landmark industry chains for Jiaxing as a strong city in smart manufacturing and innovation. Dai Feng, deputy mayor, attended the symposium as well.

At the symposium, the managers of some local relevant companies such as Zhejiang Cenway New Material Co., Ltd., Sanjiang Chemicals Co.，Ltd, Xin Fen Ming Group, Tongkun Holding Co., Ltd. and Satellite Chemical Co., Ltd., made speeches on how to play enterprises’ e roles, extend and strengthen industrial chains and optimize business environment and resource allocation. Chen Wei listened attentively to and talked with them, making the atmosphere lively.

The chemical new material industry of Jiaxing started to develop earlier, and now it enjoys solid foundations, advanced industrial parks, remarkable achievements and strong development momentum and leading roles of industrial chain owners (enterprises), but it also faces some problems and bottlenecks; therefore efforts must be made to establish strong industrial chains, play the mutual effect of industries, platforms, supporting facilities, operation and mechanisms, focus on niche fields and markets, release the “magnetic effect” of industrial clusters to extend industrial chains to top ends to improve the industrial ecology; efforts must be made to adhere to innovation-driven development, encourage, support and guide enterprises to strengthen sci-tech innovation, play the role of industrial-academic cooperation and create conditions for attracting and training talents to form competitive advantages; efforts must be made to adhere to project-oriented development, support the development of leading and quality enterprises, attract major projects and provide more services for them to enhance development momentum; efforts must be made to adhere to green and low-carbon development, and widely use clean energy and green technologies to drive the green transformation and upgrading; efforts must be made to attach importance to workplace safety, fulfill each person’s responsibilities and issue specific measures against risks to continuously support the safe development of the chemical new material industry, according to Chen Wei.
