Led by Gao Yi, secretary of the CPC Quzhou Municipal Committee, and Xu Zhangyan, deputy secretary of the CPC Quzhou Municipal Committee also mayor of Municipal People’s Government of Quzhou, the Party and government delegation from Quzhou visited Jiaxing for learning and exchange yesterday. The visit aimed to strengthen mutual learning, deepen collaborative partnerships between Jiaxing and Quzhou, and jointly contribute more to the high-quality development and to building Zhejiang into a common prosperity demonstration zone. Chen Wei, secretary of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, and Yan Hairong, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee also executive vice mayor of Municipal People’s Government of Jiaxing, accompanied the delegation. In addition, such leaders from Quzhou also participated in the inspection as Zhou Weibing and Li Ning.  

How can culture and tourism industries achieve new development while balancing tradition and innovation? The project “Ancient Yanguan Town· City of Tide and Music” has actively tapped tidal culture and musical elements and created a fresh culture and tourism experience for tourists with the theme of “Daily Music, Daily Tide”. The delegation inspected its tourist center and business forms, and learned about its planning, construction, resources allocation and industrial development. They were deeply impressed by the project’s grand planning, comprehensive preservation and development, and distinctive cultural features; they acknowledged Jiaxing’s solid foundation, strong momentum and innovative approaches in culture-tourism integrated development, and successful practices. Both cities agreed to strengthen cooperation, leverage complementary advantages, and jointly explore new scenarios and models to inject more vitality into culture and tourism development.

At Taoyuan Village, Haining, a county-level city under Jiaxing, the delegation inspected its CPC service center for the public, badminton hall, and “Common Prosperity Workshop”, and listened to an introduction on the collaborative development of the project “Greater Taoyuan” and learned about local achievements in advancing public services, strengthening distinctive industrial development, boosting employment and increasing residents’ incomes. It is known that the village-level collective economic incomes have exceeded 10 million yuan; the “Service Station near Residents Homes” offers nearly 200 types of services, and supporting facilities such as the community-based fitness centers are fully available. The delegation members expressed their intention to learn from Jiaxing’s practices, mechanisms and measures in promoting urban-rural integrated development; they would intensify efforts to strengthen urban development, revitalize rural areas, and boost integrated development to continuously expand new opportunities for high-quality urban-rural integrated development.  

With Jiaxing Nanhu Airport entering its test flight phase, the dream that “economy will thrive with the aircraft taking off” is about to come true. The delegation traveled by car to visit the airport runway, control tower, terminal, and the project “Eastern Skyport” invested by YTO Express, and learned about the construction progress of Jiaxing’s global aviation logistics hub. They praised the hub’s clear development targets, integrated planning, efficient construction and industrial synergy. According to the delegation members, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport’s comprehensive planning and construction process provides a valuable reference for Quzhou. They expressed hope that both cities should continue to strengthen exchanges, share best practices, and jointly work to build a strong and efficient transport network, and boost high-level openness and high-quality development.  

During the inspection and exchange, officials from both cities stressed that Jiaxing and Quzhou each possess unique advantages and distinctive development characteristics, so there exist vast potentials for mutual learning and deeper cooperation. They emphasized they should thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speeches made in his inspection in Zhejiang, adhere to the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee’s requirements, enhance cooperation in projects and industries, strengthen cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties, promote urban-rural integration and common prosperity, elevate the cooperation to new heights and achieve greater progress to jointly contribute more to Zhejiang’s development.
